Commitment to Social Responsibility

The essential characteristic of Social Responsibility is the willingness of an organisation to incorporate social and environmental considerations in its decision making and be accountable for the impacts of its decisions and activities on society and the environment. This implies both transparent and ethical behaviour that contributes to sustainable development, is in compliance with applicable law and is consistent with international norms of behaviour.

It also implies that social responsibility is integrated throughout the organisation, is practised in its relationships and takes into account all the interests of stakeholders. -

1. Code of Conduct - Ethical Business Practices

We believe everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect; we will not discriminate on the grounds of race, gender, disability, nationality, religion, philosophical belief, political belief, age, sexual orientation, family status, trade union or any other factor. In addition Interloc will not facilitate, support or tolerate or condone any form of workplace harassment or violence, we adhere to a strict Code of Conduct

2. Health and Safety

We are committed to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, customers and the community and have regular safety checks and meetings to ensure all operational controls are working effectively

Interloc's Health and Safety Objectives are:

  • To ensure and promote health, safety and welfare of people at work
  • To provide information, instruction, training and supervision for employees, contractors and visitors to ensure their safety
  • To provide safe plant and equipment and safe systems of work
  • To ensure that risks to health and safety are identified, assessed and eliminated or controlled
  • To develop and promote community awareness of OHS issues
  • To provide for consultation and cooperation between employees in achieving these
  • objectives

3. Company and Staff Donations

Management activity donate to a number a charities and like to support staff initiatives for fundraisers which includes Youth of the Streets, Make a wish foundation, Queensland Flood Appeal and monthly donations for Care Flight.

4. Supply Chain Management

A socially responsible company, is a company that strives to influence other organisations. By supporting suppliers that comply to environmental, ethical practices and health and safety
